The COTTON x CLAY collection features special curated fibers and handmade ceramic tiles woven together to create a one of a kind story.

Navigating life with a toddler and infant has brought a change to my art and mind - i’ve never been the most patient person; struggling with ADHD and diving face first into fast paced jobs has always been my “normal”. This season in life has forced me to slow down in the best ways, and i love how that is reflected in my work. 

I sit for hours on the ground with my babies surrounding my loom while I weave; often interrupted by the occasional “hey mom, watch this” or baby cry. Hand shaping each clay tile while my son sits in my lap; his tiny eager hands reaching out while i have to hold them back to prevent the clay from inevitably ending up in his mouth. 

Sculpting, drying, firing, glazing and firing again - a multi step process to working with ceramics that is new for me. I’m leaning to embrace the method and imperfectly perfect nature of working with clay.

 Things take much longer than they used to, but i am enjoying the process and art that comes and learning patience from life’s greatest teachers.
